Welcome to SwimTruth
Mental Health Coach
SwimTruth is a unique ministry and coaching service focused on supporting individuals grappling with mental health challenges from a biblical perspective. We recognize the escalating epidemic of mental illness, where many rely on psychiatric drugs, alcohol, or other coping mechanisms to manage conditions like depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, and addictions. At SwimTruth, we use a biblical approach to healing, centered on addressing the root causes of these internal battles.
We believe that true healing emanates from submitting to God’s obedience, love, and guidance. As stated in “Genesis 1:27, we are created in God's image,” which means we can seek divine intervention for healing and direction from God.
The founder of SwimTruth, Anise, has a personal journey of overcoming extensive trauma, including physical, emotional, sexual, and psychological abuse. She was delivered from anxiety, depression and PTSD without using any psychiatric medications. But, through the power of the Holy Spirit and God's love, and living in obedience she was healed. This is the heart of our philosophy.
SwimTruth offers guidance and support to those seeking to heal and grow in peace, love, and clarity, aligning with biblical principles.

“God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).”

The SwimTruth
Story
SwimTruth, tells the tale of how excessive pressure on water led to the formation of a new pathway. Coach Anise, a renowned swim coach and swim team owner in the Washington, DC area. Despite her leadership role and public recognition, Anise harbored a hidden pain from abuse, which gradually affected her mental state. However, her inherent resilience drove her to continue working.
In a transformative summer, Anise dedicated herself to coaching individuals who had traumatic experiences with water. Her objective was not only to teach them swimming but also to help them overcome their trauma and pain.
As Anise engaged in these lessons, she began noticing a significant shift in her own emotions. Immersing herself in water brought her a sense of quietness, peace, and tranquility, contrasting sharply with her feelings before entering the pool. This experience led her to a profound realization: water, an essential element for life, also held the key to healing and inner peace.
Embracing this discovery, Anise's journey took a new direction. She found solace and strength in her connection with water, coupled with living in God’s obedience for her life. This combination not only facilitated her own healing but also inspired the creation of "SwimTruth." Through this initiative, Anise aimed to guide others towards healing, using the therapeutic qualities of water and biblical obedience as the foundation.
"Welcome to SwimTruth" is not just an invitation to learn swimming; it's a call to embark on a journey of healing and growing into what God’s vision is for your life.
